ECG-Bradycardia ?What is your diagnosis.


70 year old female comes to JIPMER emergency department with chief complaints of giddiness since last five days, there was no history of syncope, vomiting, angina, dyspnoea. On examination in the emergency department patient pulse rate was 45 per minute. Patient blood pressure was 180/70 mmhg. ECG done in the emergency department is shown below




Description of the ECG- AV dissociation, atrial rate around 150 beats per minute, ventricular rate around 43 beats per minute, there is no association between P wave and QRS complex, suggestive of AV dissociation,narrow QRS morphology, No significant ST-T wave changes, QT interval 460 msec, QTc 389 msec,so the final diagnosis of the ECG is complete heart block. Patient underwent successful Permanant pacemaker implantation at JIPMER hospital, Pondicherry by Dr Raja Selvaraj and his team.
