ECG Congenital Complete heart block with symptomatic bradycardia

A 23 years old young female comes to JIPMER hospital, Pondicherry, India  with chief complaints of dyspnoea on exertion NYHA class II  along with fatigue since last two months. There was no history of chest pain, dizziness, syncope. During evaluation in the emergency department patient was found to have pulse rate of 50 beats per minute, BP-110/70 mmhg. ECG done of the patient is shown below

Description of the ECG-Complete AV dissociation present, atrial rate around 80 beats per minute, ventricular rate at 50 beats per minutes, narrow QRS complex, QT interval 400 msec, QTc interval 365 msec, no ST-T wave changes. There is no relationship between P wave and QRS wave so it is an example of Congenital Complete heart block in young female.

In view of fatigue and dyspnoea on exertion decision to put pacemaker was taken and patient underwent successful pacemaker implantation at JIPMER department of cardiology under Dr Raja Selvaraj and his team.
